Starting Oct. 17, the new Old Elm GO Station, located on 12958 Tenth Line in Stouffville, will open to the public.

The new station will have several new features, including: a bus loop; a passenger pickup and drop-off area adjacent to the platform; a passenger waiting area; parking for 673 vehicles (654 standard parking stalls, 15 barrier-free accessibility stalls and four stalls for scooters/motorbikes); heated shelters, a platform canopy, and a platform snow-melting system; new signalized intersections at the bus entrance and the main entrance to accommodate increased vehicle traffic; PRESTO machines and a ticket vending machine.

In 2021, the Ontario government gave Lincolnville GO Station a new name -- Old Elm GO Station -- in an effort to honour the historic 200-year-old elm tree being preserved during the construction of a new and improved station on Tenth Line.
