'ALL LANES CLOSED': Significant closures in Vaughan and Markham as well as Richmond Hill on Highway 400 and Highway 427 along with Highway 404 trigger traffic warnings to drivers

Drivers in Vaughan, Richmond Hill and Markham could be in for some traffic slowdowns this week, depending on when they're heading out onto the road.
The Ministry of Transportation announced some new closures on York region highways for the week, many of which take effect Tuesday (Oct. 10). They include:
Construction on Highway 427 southbound between Zenway Boulevard and Highway 7 will leave the right lane closed from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Oct. 10-14.
Construction on the Highway 400 southbound on-ramp at Major MacKenzie Drive in Vaughan will leave "all lanes closed" from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Oct. 10-11, according to the ministry.
Construction on Highway 400 southbound collectors between Langstaff and Highway 7 in Vaughan will leave "all lanes closed" Oct. 10-21 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., according to the ministry.
Construction on Highway 404 northbound at Highway 7 will result in one lane being closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Oct. 10-14.
Construction on the Highway 404 northbound on-ramp at Major MacKenzie Drive will leave all lanes closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Oct. 10-14.
