Phase 3 of the Georgina Waterfront Master Plan is being prepared, and the town wants feedback on a potential vendor program.

The master plan will provide a “vision and framework” for the operation and management of Georgina’s waterfront parks. The plan is being developed in three parts over four years, starting in 2020.

A master plan is being created to ensure Georgina has a sustainable waterfront strategy to manage the parks and address overcrowding, vehicular and pedestrian access and parking, according to the town.

All of the shoreline land in Georgina will be included in the study with a focus on Willow Beach Park, Franklin Beach Conservation Area, De La Salle Beach Park, Jackson’s Point Harbour Marina, Malone Wharf, Bonnie Park, Holmes Point Park, Mossington Wharf, Black River from the lake to High Street, Adeline Park, leash-free dog park area (West Park), Young’s Harbour Park, Claredon Beach Park, Rayners Wharf, North Gwillimbury Park, Maskinonge River from the lake to Woodbine Avenue, shoreline from Park Road to Thorah Park Boulevard and Pefferlaw River from the lake to the dam.

Results of the survey will be included in a staff report to council.

The waterfront parks vendor survey will be available on the town’s website until Oct. 3.
