Early morning commuters at the Aurora GO train station got their workdays off to a fun start on Sept. 27, thanks to an interactive and collaborative pop-up event.

Members of Aurora Town Square and its partners, the Aurora Cultural Centre, the Aurora Museum and Archives and the Aurora Public Library invited train and bus users to come over to the Town of Aurora tent to learn more about the ambitious downtown Aurora Town Square project.

Commuters could spin a prize wheel to take home swag.

Many commuters expressed excitement about project’s opening next year.

Town Square will see the cultural centre, museum and library unite in one location in Aurora’s historic downtown to provide residents with greater opportunities for arts, heritage, culture and connection for generations to come.

The town boasts that Town Square is a key part of the town’s downtown revitalization, complementing the Aurora’s small-town charm with big-city amenities.

The community hub will feature a 29,000-square-foot outdoor community space and a 32,000-square-foot addition to the beloved Church Street School.
