Police investigating shooting in Vaughan

York Regional Police (YRP) are investigating a shooting that occurred in Vaughan in the early morning on Sunday, Sept. 10.

Around 1 a.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting in the area of Highway 7 and Interchange Way.

Police said evidence of a shooting was located, however, no victim was found at the time.

Shortly after, police were informed a man attended a GTA hospital with a gunshot wound. His injuries are considered non-life-threatening.

Police are trying to determine if his injuries are linked to the shooting in Vaughan. Police say there are no public safety concerns at this time.
