Another long summer weekend? What could be better?

The first Monday in August is a civic holiday in Canada and is known by different names.

In Ontario, the civic holiday is known by a variety of names: Simcoe Day in Toronto, George Hamilton Day in Hamilton, John Galt day in Guelph. In British Columbia it’s called British Columbia Day, in Manitoba it's Terry Fox Day and in New Brunswick it's New Brunswick Day.

Where permitted by local municipalities, LCBO Convenience Outlets may be open with regular hours of business.
The Beer Store
On Monday, Aug. 7, 132 select Beer Store retail locations across the province will be open for business from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The list of select York Region stores is below. Other stores will be closed.
