You have three extra weeks to swim in some of Toronto’s outdoor pools. This starts from September 4 until September 24. During this time, the pools will be open from 4 pm-7 pm on weekdays and from 12 pm-7 pm on weekends.

Here are the 10 pools that will be operational for the additional allotted dates:

Alex Duff Memorial Pool -- 779 Crawford St.
Heron Park Community Centre -- 292 Manse Rd.
Kiwanis Outdoor Pool -- 375 Cedarvale Ave.
Leaside Outdoor Pool -- 5 Leaside Park Dr.
Ledbury Park Outdoor Pool -- 160 Ledbury St.
McGregor Park Community Centre -- 2231 Lawrence Ave. E.
Monarch Park Outdoor Pool -- 115 Felstead Ave.
Pine Point Park Outdoor Pool -- 15 Grierson Rd.
Sunnyside Gus Ryder Outdoor Pool -- 1755 Lake Shore Blvd. W.
Wedgewood Park Outdoor Pool -- 15 Swan Ave.

All these locations will allow for leisure swimming, while lane swimming will be for select locations only. Need something more than a swim? Lighting for any type of evening programming until 7 p.m. will also be there, along with sufficient staff.

“We love our neighbourhood pools and we want to make the most out of summers in the city. Our pools are important spaces for families to keep enjoying the summer through those warm September days,” Mayor Olivia Chow, said in a press release statement.

There are more than 140 splash and spray pads across Toronto, all of which will be operational until September 17. The working timings are daily from 9 am to 9 pm. The City’s Heat Relief Network is on this year too, which provides residents with access to a range of cool spaces throughout the day.

After all, it might be September but like many other cities across the world, the heat’s certainly been warmer than usual here as well.
