There are new closures on York region highways this week that could seriously impact your drive.
The Ministry of Transportation is alerting drivers to the new closures on its 511 Ontario website. They include:
Construction on the Highway 404 southbound on-ramp at Major MacKenzie Drive in Markham and Richmond Hill will leave “all lanes closed” from 11:59 p.m., Aug. 30 to 5 a.m. Sept. 1, according to the ministry.
Construction on Highway 400 northbound between Major MacKenzie Drive in Vaughan and the Service Centre ONroute in King City will result in two right lanes being closed Aug. 29 to Sept. 1, from 8 p.m. to 9 a.m.
Lane closures nightly from Aug. 29 to Sept. 1 on the Highway 404 northbound lanes between Highway 401 and Regional Road 7 (Highway 7) for 9.2 kilometres, Sheppard Avenue East underpass, John Street culvert, CNR Subway Bridge and culvert south of Highway 407.
