The City of Vaughan is asking for feedback in designing the Promenade Centre. The area is 95 acres of land located around Promenade Mall bounded by Centre Street, Bathurst Street, Clark Avenue West, and the New Westminster Drive.

With input from local residents, the city wants to plan out how the future area will look, how streets and open spaces will be designed, and how new buildings will look.

A virtual meeting will be held Aug. 29. from 7 to 9 p.m. via Zoom. Registration is not required and a link to the meeting will be provided that day at Vaughan.ca/PromenadeCentre.

For residents who are unable to attend the meeting, they can still review materials and submit comments by emailing the project manager at shirley.marsh@vaughan.ca until Friday, Sept. 15.

Now in its final phase, the plan will build from the foundation established in the approved Promenade Centre Secondary Plan (2022) to create public spaces.

Once completed, this study’s framework will help co-ordinate the design of development activities in the area and co-ordination of public and private partnerships.
