Caledon council has adopted the town's 2023-2035 strategic plan -- a collaborative strategy that will shape its future over the next 12 years.

The strategic plan has four priority areas which were determined, in part, by feedback from residents, businesses, community groups and other local stakeholders:

The plan will guide town priorities in future business plans and budgets.

"Caledon's 2023-2035 Strategic Plan is a plan for everyone," said Mayor Annette Groves, according to a Wednesday, July 26 town media release. "Informed by contributions from the community, council and staff, it is a plan that represents the qualities of Caledon we want to maintain as we grow and what we commit to doing to offer the best of rural and urban life for current and future residents."

"In collaboration with council, staff and the community, we were able to develop a strong plan to support all aspects of our business, and will help guide future budgets, policy decisions and produce a framework that will help strengthen Caledon's future," added Chief Administrative Officer Carey Herd.

According to the release, the strategic plan has the vision that Caledon offers the best of rural and urban life for everyone and commits council and town staff to inclusivity, collaboration and measurability as they work to achieve the goals identified in the plan.

The full strategic plan can be accessed on the town's website.
