Vaughan International Music Festival returns to VMC

Free event, taking place Aug. 18-19, will feature music from various genres, cultures worldwide

The Vaughan International Music Festival (VIMF) returns to the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre for some summer fun.

The event taking place on Friday, Aug. 18 and Saturday Aug. 19 will feature music from various genres and cultures worldwide.

The free two-day event will happen rain or shine and include live performances from emerging local artists, cultural groups, and entertainers of all sorts.

Attendees are welcome to bring their own lawnchairs and food trucks will be operating on-site throughout the weekend.

The event is free to the public. Back in January 2022, city council endorsed the continued support of the VIMF as an annual, free community event that contributes to the City’s mandate to help deliver culturally diverse events in a safe, inclusive and accessible manner.
