The Regional Municipality of York is closing Teston Road between Pine Valley Drive and Weston Road in the City of Vaughan from July 3, to Dec. 31.

JUST THE FACTS

Impact: There will be new sidewalks, cycling paths and street lighting on both sides of the road.

Why: The roads are widening from two to four lanes. York Region will also be raising the road and constructing a new 45-metre span bridge at Purpleville Creek and installing a trail connection under the bridge as well as realigning the creek channel.

When: From July 3 to Dec. 31.
