Richmond Hill will soon showcase imaginative, inspiring and expressive displays of local artistic talent around the city.

In celebration of Richmond Hill’s 150th anniversary earlier this year, the city invited artists to capture the community’s past, present and future. The following commissioned projects include:

COMMUNITY MURAL: One artist is painting an outdoor, large mural on the Sports Centre Building (front/south-facing wall) at Richmond Green Sports Centre.

CITY PARK STORAGE BUNKERS: Six local artists are painting murals on concrete storage bunkers at Pine Farm Park, Town Park, Eyer Homestead Ropes Course, Bradstock Park, Morgan Boyle Park and David Hamilton Park.

BELL BOX COMMUNITY MURALS: Six artists have been selected to paint murals on Bell Canada utility boxes throughout the city.

Over the coming weeks, the city will share updates on the projects and information about the artists on its social media channels. The official unveiling will happen during Culture Days in the fall.
