City of Vaughan moves forward with neighbourhood traffic calming plan

Pilot project will see temporary traffic calming measures installed in 5 neighbourhoods

As the City of Vaughan continues to grow, city council continues to look into traffic calming measures.

The neighbourhoods of New Kleinburg, Sonoma Heights, Vellore Village, Carville Corners and Lakeview Estates are part of a pilot project installing temporary traffic calming measures. Access to residences will remain available while work is being completed.

The measures are part of the Neighbourhood Traffic Calming Plan and installations are being referred to as “quick-build” designs. These designs are easily deployed and are cost-effective in testing before taking on more expensive and more permanent installations.
