The deadline for the first instalment of the City of Vaughan’s 2023 final property taxes is fast approaching.

The first instalment will be due on Thursday, July 27, 2023. Future final property tax payments will be on Aug. 28 and Sept. 28, 2023.

As all City of Vaughan facilities are cashless, here are a few ways you can pay:

If you have not yet received your final tax bill in the mail, the City of Vaughan is requesting residents contact the city immediately at 905-832-2281 or service@vaughan.ca. The City of Vaughan reminds residents that failure to receive a tax bill does not exempt residents from paying property taxes and late payment penalties will be added.

Property taxes help pay for critical infrastructure and services such as Vaughan Fire and Rescue Service, waste management, city planning and development, infrastructure replacement, maintenance of city facilities, bylaw and compliance, as well as other public works and road services.

Of every dollar paid, 28 cents stays in the city to pay for all municipal program and services, with the City of Vaughan retaining about $1,836 or on average about $6,576 annually.
