Markham residents will have three more parks in their neighbourhood for the summer staycation.
The city has three park official openings slated this July, all of which will feature free activities including an ice cream truck, entertainment, airbrush tattoos, and the city’s recreation truck -- making it a fun outing for the entire family.
Mayor Frank Scarpitti is scheduled to speak at each event.
Where: Debbi Wilkes Park (260 Rougeside Promenade)
When: Saturday, July 15 at 10:30 a.m. -- 12:30 p.m.
Where: Robert Spindloe Park (100 Battista Perri Dr.)
When: Saturday, July 22 at 10:30 a.m. -- 12:30 p.m.
Ceremony begins at 11 a.m.
Where: Cornell Community Park (371 Cornell Centre Blvd)
When: Saturday, July 22 at 3 -- 5 p.m.
