Vaughan’s Major Mackenzie Drive West named among Top 5 worst roads in GTA

The Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) has put out a compendium of the worst roads in Canada for 2023.

Under the CAA’s Halton, Peel, York and Durham category, Major Mackenzie Drive West in the city of Vaughan takes the number 5 spot.

With so much construction in the area, it should come as no surprise. Major Mackenzie Drive West is known as a collision-intensive area to many readers.

Other spots making it onto the list are well-known, such as the infamous Eglinton Avenue West in Toronto, which has seen years of construction of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT.

Barton Street East in Hamilton once again takes the number 1 spot as the worst road in Canada, previously winning in 2022.
