The City of Vaughan is celebrating their annual Vaughan Celebrates -- Concerts in the Park series with a Canadian celebrity -- Shawn Desman.

The concert series is being held throughout the summer, starting on Wednesday, June 14, with the platinum-selling artist at the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre at Transit Square.

The rest of this year’s concert lineup is filled with music for all ages, with genres ranging from disco, pop, oldies and rock. The six concerts will be on select Wednesdays from June 14. To Aug. 2, weather permitting, from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

• Platinum selling singer/songwriter and Juno Award winner, Shawn Desman at Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, Transit Square

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 28

• Elvis Lives -- Tribute to Elvis, Sonoma Heights Community Park
• Star Power Tributes -- Tribute to Sade, Amy Winehouse, Whitney Houston, George Michael, Chancellor District Park

WEDNESDAY, JULY 19

• The British Legends -- Tribute to Elton John, Rod Stewart and David Bowie, Dufferin District Park

WEDNESDAY, JULY 26

• The Caverners -- Tribute to The Beatles, Mackenzie Glen District Park

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 2

• Simply Queen -- Tribute to Queen, North Thornhill Community Centre (outdoor amphitheatre)

Accessible parking, pathways and washrooms will be available at each concert location. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
