If you are getting around town early on June 5, you’ll need to avoid Main Street.
The road from Water Street to Park Avenue will be closed from about 4 to 8 a.m. as crews put out summer flowers.
The flowers are a symbol that a summer season of events will be taking place in Newmarket, including many downtowns.
Those include the Pride festival and parade June 16 and 17, Busk Till Dusk Friday and Saturday evening from June 23 to Sept. 2 (excluding Canada Day), Tim Hortons Canada Day July 1, the TD Music Series, Moonlight Movies presented by TD and Splash of Culture.
Visit newmarket.ca/events throughout the year for more information on town-hosted events. Event webpages will be updated closer to the events.
