City of Vaughan reflects on accessibility status in 2022

The results of the 2022 annual accessibility status report are in.
The City of Vaughan plans on constructing a new 2023-27 multi-year accessibility plan, building on the 2019-22 plan after receiving from the accessibility advisory committee.
Key results from the status report indicate that the city plans on raising awareness about service animals, awareness about the city’s age-friendly community action plan, plans to apply for the provincial inclusive community grants program, and consultation on Project Search -- a school to work transition program for people living with disabilities. The next plan is expected to be submitted before city council in fall of 2023.
