Parents invited to apply for YRDSB advisory committee

York Region District School Board is accepting applications for members of its parent, family and community engagement advisory committee.

PEAC supports, encourages and enhances parent engagement at the board level to improve student achievement and well-being. It represents the collective voice of parents who have children attending public schools in York Region.

Interested family members are invited to submit an online application form by June 14, or can request a copy of the form by emailing leadership.development.engagement@yrdsb.ca or calling 905-727-0022, ext. 3650.

PEAC members are expected to attend a minimum of five meetings each year. The first meeting date for the new membership is Nov. 9, which is a joint meeting with the equity and inclusivity advisory committee (EIAC).

Interested applicants are invited to attend a virtual information session to learn more about this parent engagement opportunity on May 24 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
