A Sustainable Neighbourhood Action Program (SNAP) event will take place in Thornhill on May 28.

The event will be held at J.E.H. MacDonald House at 121 Centre St. with a bunch of free community events that residents are welcome to join.

SNAP was created by the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) to create more sustainable and livable communities.

The program looks at urban renewal opportunities, such as flood risk reduction, energy and water conservation, tree planting, natural heritage enhancements, walkability and accessibility improvements, as well as arts and culture opportunities and more.
