You can get your car washed and donate to a charitable cause at the Central York Fire Services fundraiser for United Way May 13.

The firefighting force will be offering car washes at its new central headquarters for “pay what you can” donations.

“Members of the Central York Professional Firefighters Association (CYPFFA) have volunteered their time to host this fundraising initiative to support United Way which is committed to fighting local poverty,” the service said.

Donations will be accepted by cash, debit or credit.

The event runs from noon to 5 p.m. at the station at 300 Earl Stewart Dr. in Aurora.

In case of rain, the event will shift to June 10.
