Metrolinx is temporarily replacing all trips starting and ending at the Aurora GO station with buses.
On the Barrie line, weekday train service will be replaced by bus services outside of the morning and afternoon peak periods. Most Barrie train services will be replaced by bus on the weekend, according to Metrolinx.
Trains will still be available for trips operating the entire length of the corridor between Allandale Waterfront and Union Station, running about every three hours, Metrolinx said.
More frequent two-way, all-day train service on the Barrie line is planned, and will run every 15 minutes, seven days a week once Metrolinx expands its services with an additional track between Aurora GO and Union Station. The goal is to add all-day train service to Bradford GO, according to Metrolinx.
