A group of youth from e3 Toronto are inviting the public to a park cleanup and nature walk at Jefferson Forest in Richmond Hill from 12:30 to 3 p.m. on April 22, Earth Day.

e3 Toronto is an organization that focuses on helping youth to improve their public speaking and communication skills. Their leadership program consists of youth ages 14 to 17 years old from Richmond Hill that meet on Saturdays to practise skills and generate ideas.

“We’re excited because this is the first time we’ve offered this leadership program, and I see the work they’ve put in and how they’re so committed to the cause,” said e3 Toronto co-founder Steve Elliot. “We’d love to have anyone join us to show support to the youth; even if they don’t want to clean up garbage, they can do the walk.”

Gloves and bags provided by the City of Richmond Hill will be available for those who show up.

In addition to the park cleanup and nature walk, baked goods will be available for purchase with proceeds going to a local environmental group.

Bring your friends and family and register your attendance at e3toronto.com.
