Woodbridge Avenue is undergoing improvements to help with higher urban density.
      JUST THE FACTS

        - Traffic impacts are expected along Woodbridge Avenue, including lane closures, one-way traffic and detours which are required to facilitate construction work. Driveway and building entrances will also be affected temporarily as road and streetscaping work is completed.

        - An extensive review was done in 2020 to prioritize what work needed to be done and in what order. From road rehabilitation, watermain replacements, sanitary sewer upgrades, streetlighting improvements, traffic signal additions, parking lay-bys (designated paved parking areas), and streetscape and landscape enhancements.

        - Businesses are still open on Woodbridge Ave during construction. Designated parking spots at 7971 Kipling Ave. and 140 Woodbridge Ave. offer access to shops and services along Woodbridge Avenue while the street undergoes repairs.

        - The work being done is meant to improve pedestrian connections by promoting walking and transit use, reduce conflicts between pedestrians and vehicles, and support daily community life and events, as well as build on access to the trail along the Humber River system.
