Lights out!
The City of Vaughan will mark Earth Hour this year by including festivities as it shuts down electricity to non-essential services.
Earth Hour is a global initiative meant to raise awareness about climate change and promote environmental stewardship.
This year, the City of Vaughan will power down for an hour at 8:30 p.m. on March 25 and will hold a community event between 6:30 and 10 p.m. offering activities at the city hall building, located at 2141 Mackenzie Dr. W.
Visitors can check out a variety of vendor booths and there will also be a do-it-yourself hot chocolate station. Those who register, will receive pollinator seed packets.
