Richmond Hill residents encouraged to go green and clean up city this spring

Clean Up, Green Up Weeks are back.

Everyone is invited to help protect the environment by volunteering to clean up around their neighbourhood.

From April 21 to May 5, residents, businesses, community groups and schools are encouraged to come together to help pick up litter that has accumulated over the winter in parks, trails, on boulevards and in open spaces.

The city will provide registered groups with gloves, garbage and recycling bags, and arrange for collection of the filled bags.

Register online at RichmondHill.ca/CleanUpWeeks by Monday, April 10.

In 2022, with the help of 9,000 volunteers, 175 parks, trails and streets were cleaned in Richmond Hill.
