East Gwillimbury CAO Tom Webster retires after 18 years in top job

East Gwillimbury is looking for a new chief administrative officer.
The town announced CAO Tom Webster is retiring after 18 years in the town's top job. The town extended its appreciation to Webster's public service on behalf of Mayor Virginia Hackson and council.
During Webster's tenure as CAO, his notable accomplishments include leading the town to operate debt-free, achieving the lowest tax rates in York Region, serving as the catalyst for the Health and Active Living Plaza and leading a team that has been recognized both provincially and nationally.
Deputy CAO Mark Valcic will assume the role of acting CAO.
