If you are starting a new business or if you have an existing venture you would like to expand in Vaughan, you may be interested in the city’s Starter Company Plus Program.

The program helps companies and entrepreneurs develop a business plan, marketing strategy, budget and financial forecast. The program includes one-on-one consultations focused on supporting the development of your business plan and an opportunity to apply for up to $5,000 in provincial funding.

Council members endorsed a resolution brought forward by Mayor Steven Del Duca and Ward 2 Councillor Adrianno Volpentesta to strengthen the Starter Company Plus Program by holding in-person information sessions across Vaughan. The next one is on Monday, March 20.

Sessions are 1 to 5 p.m. at the following locations:

Each session will cover: Grant eligibility criteria, grant application process and requirements, program structure, an overview of required training programs and a question-and-answer session.

Businesses can also connect with Vaughan’s Digital Main Street Digital Service Squad. This program helps small businesses in Vaughan to adopt technologies and opportunities to enable digital transformation. Led by the Vaughan Chamber of Commerce, the program will facilitate workshops, providing advisory support, digital assessments and tools, grant and learning resources, and networking opportunities.
