A new documentary series takes viewers on a visual journey through some of the oldest excavation sites in the history of the world.

Filmed in Israel over the last two years, the series features some of the world's top archeologists and historically significant archeological sites.

Hosted by award-winning documentary filmmaker, Vaughan-based Igal Hecht, each episode takes the viewer behind the scenes of substantial excavations, unearthing thousand-year-old sites in the Holy Land.

The documentary series, called “Secrets of the Land,” explores the connection between science and history, specifically looking at stories from the Bible.

As with every other series of Hecht’s, all the post-production and editing was done in his studio in Vaughan. Co-editing was done by Vaughan native Julian Hoffman.
