Applications for the 2023-24 round of Inclusive Community Grants are now open.
The Government of Ontario is putting $750,000 into helping communities across the province with inclusivity and accessibility for people of all ages and abilities.
These grants will provide municipalities, non-profit organizations, and Indigenous communities with up to $60,000 to fund local projects designed to help older residents and those with disabilities to be able to participate in the community.
“We know inclusive communities support independent, active living and help reduce social isolation,” said Raymond Cho, minister for seniors and accessibility.
“That’s why I’m proud to announce the launch of the latest round of funding for Inclusive Community Grants, which will help enable older adults and people with disabilities to contribute to all aspects of community life.”
This year, the government is focusing on those projects that improve community engagement as well as those that help older adults age and live at home with access to care.
The Inclusive Community Grants Program started in 2020 and has since given out $3.7 million in support of 72 projects across the province.
Eligible organizations have until April 20 to submit their applications which can be found on the Transfer Payment Ontario website.
