The City of Vaughan has renamed Archives and Records Management to Enterprise Information Management Services. The office serves under the office of the city clerk and provides guidance and tools to manage the city’s information in a safe and secure manner.

One of the key duties of the Enterprise Information Management Services is the City of Vaughan archives. It’s a public-facing service that manages and preserves government records of long-term value, as well as collects and preserves community records. Established in 1988, the city’s archives is home to more than 600 collections, consisting both of city and cultural records about Vaughan from 1703 to the present day. Records include, but are not limited to the following:

City business records with long-term legal and administrative value (council minutes, bylaws, financial records, and reports)

A lot of the City of Vaughan’s collection is now available online through the city’s archival database. Learn more at Vaughan.ca/archives.
