King hosting open house at newly renovated Schomberg Community Hall

King Township is granting curious residents an opportunity to see inside the newly renovated Schomberg Community Hall.

On Feb. 3, from 5 to 7 p.m., King Township will host an open house at the community hall, located at 325 Main St.

The township was granted occupancy for the hall in early December after most of the renovations were completed. The list of improvements include making the building fully accessible and establishing energy efficient rental spaces.

Throughout renovations, township staff encountered unique challenges because the building is more than a century old. All renovations are expected to be finished in the first quarter of 2023.
