Parts of York region are under a Special Weather Statement, according to Environment Canada.
The national weather agency issued the statement Tuesday (Feb. 14), calling for strong winds Wednesday afternoon (Feb. 15) and into the evening
Hazards for Vaughan, Markham and Richmond Hill residents include strong wind gusts near 80 km/h and high winds that may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.
"Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds," the statement reads.
Temperatures are expected to soar into the low to mid double digits on Wednesday, making it feel more like late March or early April, Environment Canada said.
