A new bylaw investigation map on King’s website will let visitors check on the status of a bylaw complaint, two years of active and closed bylaw investigation files per property and property-based bylaw complaint and investigations.

“King’s new bylaw investigation map enhances the quality and accessibility of bylaw investigation information available to the public. This tool supports our bylaw enforcement team in providing a high quality of customer service to our residents,” said Mayor Steve Pellegrini.

The map allows the user to enter information related to the complaint and get accurate and consistent information, which is manually updated every 30 days, according to the township.

Once the address is entered into the website several types of public information is shared, including the category or type of investigation complaint, the officer identified by badge number, the status of the investigation and any documents issued, including date of issuance and compliance date.

“The new bylaw investigation map will reduce the time bylaw enforcement officers spend on inquiries related to specific investigations, giving them more time in the field. King is reaching out to the community for input on how we can improve the map to ensure it is user-friendly,” said Nancy Cronsberry, manager of bylaw enforcement.

The map can be found by going to www.king.ca/by-law and the map’s user survey is available at speaking.king.ca/embeds/projects/34622/survey-tools/35088.
