Environment Canada has issued a significant snowfall warning for all of York Region.
Substantial snowfalls of up to 15 to 20 cm are expected Wednesday into Thursday. With that comes reduced visibility and rapidly increasing snow that will make driving difficult. Isolated power outages are also possible.
“A Texas low tracking northeastward is expected to bring snow to the area early Wednesday afternoon until Thursday morning,” Environment Canada said in their alert. “Snowfall accumulations of 15 cm are expected, with locally higher amounts of up to 20 cm likely.”
