The public is invited to attend a public meeting as the City of Richmond Hill reviews a proposal seeking to add a centre for children with autism at Bayview Avenue and Weldrick Road.
The meeting is scheduled for Feb. 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the council chambers. The public is welcome to either attend in person or via livestream online.
Land owner Playlearn Preschool Inc. has submitted an application, which seeks to amend the city’s zoning bylaw in order to allow for the addition of a centre for children with autism on lands located at 9741 Bayview Ave.
The lands have a frontage of approximately 35.96 metres (117.97 feet) along Bayview Avenue and a total lot area of approximately 0.28 hectares (0.69 acres).
Any person may attend the meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of, or in opposition to the proposed zoning bylaw amendment.
No prior registration is required to make an in-person delegation, but is encouraged.
Prior registration is required should the public intend to make an electronic delegation by video conference or telephone.
Applications to appear as a delegation must be submitted by noon on the date of the meeting by email to clerks@richmondhill.ca or by using the online application form found on Richmondhill.ca.
A staff report on the proposed zoning bylaw amendment will be available the week before the meeting after 3 p.m. The public can email the Office of the Clerk at clerks@richmondhill.ca for an electronic copy. It will also be available on RichmondHill.ca.
Questions about the information and recommendations contained in the staff report should be directed to the Planning and Infrastructure Department by calling 905-771-8910 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
For more information about this matter, including information about preserving your appeal rights, please contact the Office of the Clerk at 905-771-8800 or by email at clerks@richmondhill.ca.
