Names of victims released in Vaughan condo shooting rampage

Sixth victim, a 66-year-old woman, remains in hospital with serious injuries

The names of the five victims who were fatally shot in Vaughan condominium Sunday night have been released.

The five deceased victims, ranging in age from 57 to 79, have been identified and their next of kin have been notified: Rita Camilleri, 57, Vittorio Panza, 79, Russell Manock, 75, Helen Manock, 71, and Naveed Dada, 59.

A sixth victim, a 66-year-old woman, remains in hospital with serious injuries, according to York Regional Police.

On Dec. 18 at approximately 7:20 p.m., police were called to a residential building on Jane Street, north of Rutherford Road, for a report of an active male shooter who had shot several victims.

Francesco Villi, 73, was pronounced deceased at the scene after being shot by a York Regional Police officer.

The Special Investigations Unit is investigating this portion of the incident.

The investigation is active and ongoing.
