York Regional Police is investigating a fatal collision on Hwy. 7 in Vaughan which left a pedestrian dead on Sunday afternoon.
Hwy. 7 has been closed from Hwy. 427 to Hwy. 27 with a full intersection closure of Hwy. 7 at Vaughan Valley Boulevard being implemented, police say.
The collision took place at 3:46 p.m. Sunday when a car hit an elderly female pedestrian on Hwy. 7 at Vaughan Valley Road. The pedestrian has been pronounced dead.
The driver remained on scene, according to YRP.
Police will provide an update when roadways have re-opened.
