The City of Vaughan continues to seek input on what residents would like to see next in the Maple Library and Community Centre.
Residents looking to submit their input can email the project team directly at MapleRebo@vaughan.ca until Sunday, Jan. 8.
The Maple community centre, located at 10190 Keele St., is the city’s largest community centre and measures approximately 148,000 square feet in size.
In 2017, the City of Vaughan completed an assessment of the community centre and provided recommendations for repairs and upgrades due to the facility’s age. Around since the mid-1970s, the building was originally an arena with the library and community centre being added in 1991.
Renovations made to date include a fully modernized library branch, redesigned reading spaces, an outdoor reading garden, new recreation activity rooms, a barrier-free washroom and updated fitness change rooms.
