The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville's website townofws.ca has a fresh new look. In November, the town launched an updated website that is more user focused. The town's website had not been updated since 2017.

The capital project for a new website was approved for $100,000 in 2020. According to a staff report, the site’s architecture was completely redesigned from a departmental framework to a service-based framework. The site is designed to work on all devices with improved navigation. Hundreds of unnecessary pages were eliminated and dozens of PDF forms were converted into single submission web forms.

"This is a gigantic project and we so desperately needed it. Our number one communications tool is our website and it was so frustrating," Ward 4 Coun. Rick Upton said.

Town Communication Director Glenn Jackson also hinted the town is in the process of trying to get the Stouffville.ca domain, but they are having trouble finding the current owner of the site. "We have hit a stalemate," he said.

The town does have the Stouffville.com domain and there will be an announcement in regards to that in the near future, Jackson said.
