Destination Markham is developing a Tourism Strategic Master Plan to strengthen Markham as a tourist destination over the next three years.

In light of the current pandemic reality, the plan is expected to not only include a strong vision and strategic plan for Markham as a destination, but also consider post-pandemic planning and implementation in the short and mid-term.

The team is particularly interested in the types of activities that visitors of the city of Markham have participated in, and what needs to happen to entice visitors to come back. Visitors are invited to share feedbacks in a survey.

The team is particularly interested in the perspectives of people who live or run a business in Markham on the needs and gaps in the city’s tourism offerings and organizational structure. You can access the survey online.

The survey should take 15 minutes and all responses are completely anonymous and confidential and will only be analyzed on an aggregate basis. The input and perspectives will help develop a plan that reflects real visitor feedback and ideas.

At the end of the survey, participants can enter an email for a chance to win a $50 cash card, courtesy of Destination Markham. The survey will close by 8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20 and the cash cards awarded on Nov. 21. There are three cash card prizes for each survey.
