Toronto, Vaughan extend hours at multiple voting locations

The City of Vaughan and Toronto have both extended hours at several voting locations.

Vaughan said “technical administrative challenges” have impacted standard voting hours while Toronto said the times have been extended due to earlier disruptions.

Any voter in line at these locations at the time of the rescheduled closing will still be able to cast their ballot while any voter at any of the other voting locations who is still in line at 8 p.m. will also be able to cast a ballot.

Voting in all other municipalities is expected to end at 8 p.m., and election results are expected shortly after.

Steven Del Duca is running for mayor in Vaughan after he resigned as the Liberal leader when he failed to win party status or his own legislative seat. Current mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua is not running for re-election.
