Election day is almost here, and the City of Richmond Hill is reminding the public to check their mailboxes for voter information packages.

The packages were mailed to individuals on the voters’ list in early October. If you have not received yours, you can still receive it via email or at a vote centre.

To request to be added to the voters’ list, or to make edits to the information including which school board you support, visit RichmondHill.ca/RHVotes and select ‘Am I on the Voters’ List?’. Voters are required to include identification showing their name and address with the request.

In this election, eligible voters can vote online or in person.

Voters are encouraged to consider voting online as a fast, convenient and secure voting method.

To vote online, you require the voter ID and voting PIN found in your voter information package. Your online voting PIN is unique to you; do not share it with others, including City staff or any candidates.

Online voting for the 2022 municipal election will be available from 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 18, until 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 24, 2022.

Eligible voters can vote in person at one of the 12 convenient vote centres. A list of in-person vote centres can be found in the VIP, as well as online at RichmondHill.ca/RHVotes.

In-person voting will be available on Saturday, Oct. 22 and Sunday, Oct. 23 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on voting day, Monday Oct. 24 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Bring your voter information package and current identification showing your name and address to a vote centre to vote in person. A list of valid identification is available at RichmondHill.ca/RHVotes. Your voter information package is not considered a form of identification.

A translated sample of the voter information package is available at RichmondHill.ca/VoterInfo.
