NAME: Styles Q. Weinberg.

OCCUPATION: President Styles Q. Corporate Imaging and Promotions.

ADDRESS/WARD: 27 Pinecone Circle Concord, ON, L4K 5K5

POSITION YOU ARE RUNNING FOR: I am running for councillor of Ward 4 in the city of Vaughan.

PREVIOUS POLITICAL EXPERIENCE: Self-managed three municipal campaigns, actively involved in several Provincial and Federal election campaigns. Attended and participated in several council meetings with regards to community issues.

Eg. Jaffari Community Centre, Transit issues, Oak Ridges Moraine and many other environmentally sensitive areas.

WHY HAVE YOU DECIDED TO RUN?

There is a deep sense of “civic duty” that has always played a part of my personality and commitment. I believe in the community and how I can help where and when needed, contribute to the improvement and quality of life, create policies that will meet the demands of a growing population and ensure that our tax dollars are not waisted but are responsible to the taxpayers.

HOW WILL YOU EMBRACE AND CHAMPION DIVERSITY?

It is important to speak openly about diversity and we must educate and promote awareness.

There is no equation that can be implemented to solve any prejudice or biased beliefs.

Diversity must be combined with inclusion, understanding, respect and acceptance.

I would support, encourage, and provide resources which will meet these objectives.

WHAT ARE YOUR TOP THREE ISSUES?

Crime:

Hate crimes, car thefts, burglaries, guns, and vehicular driving causing injuries and deaths are just a few examples of the growing criminal challenges Vaughan is experiencing.

I would introduce a motion to implement a subsidized incentive program to offer every homeowner in Vaughan the option to purchase an external recording security camera system.

Traffic Congestion:

As councillor I will introduce several solutions to alleviate traffic such as:

Seamless Transit

Fares by Distance

Right Turn Lanes

Reversible Lanes

Traffic Light Synchronization

Taxes and Spending:

As you Councillor, I will be committed to justifying our tax dollar spending and ensure and maintain programs that are affordable and beneficial.

IF ELECTED, WHAT YOU PLAN TO ACCOMPLISH IN YOUR FIRST 100 DAYS?

Living in WARD 4 I am committed to holding monthly open forum sessions to meet and hear the voice of my constituents.

Our goal is to create additional FREE water features, ice rinks and walking/running tracks in our parks, including low impact exercise equipment for elderly and persons with disabilities.

I would advocate for additional dog parks and ensure that they are well lit, have water resources and shaded areas.

I will always be a phone call away.
