New to this municipal election will be the option to cast your ballot online.
You can vote online so long as you have a stable internet connection, meaning you can vote from home on a computer or on the go from a mobile device.
Advance voting can still be done in-person from Thursday, Oct. 6 until Thursday, Oct. 20.
To vote online during the advance vote, visit vaughan.ca/elections and click on the “Vote” button. To access the online voting platform, you must be on the voters’ list.
Citizens on the voters' list will receive a letter in the mail by the end of September with the information needed to log in. This includes credentials as well as a secure PIN that allows you to access the advance vote platform.
If you registered to vote after Wednesday, Sept. 7, you will not receive your voter information letter in the mail and must pick one up from Vaughan City Hall at 2141 Major Mackenzie Dr. W. or at a voter assistance centre.
To be eligible to vote for a member of Vaughan council or a school board trustee in the municipal election, you must be a Canadian citizen, over the age of 18, and either a resident of the city of Vaughan, or an owner or tenant of property within the city, or the spouse of an owner or tenant of property in Vaughan.
