WHY HAVE YOU DECIDED TO RUN?

The decision to run for mayor stems from my altruistic passion of helping a greater majority of people and my ability of modifying and creating plans that are derived from my knowledge of business, education, health care, and law and ethics, to improve various sectors across the community, as experienced during my life and career.

HOW WILL YOU EMRACE AND CHAMPION DIVERSITY?

It is important to understand that in order to authentically conceptualize diversity, understanding its processes is priority. Ensuring respect, equal opportunity, and fairness among our initiatives focused toward truly embracing diversity in all aspects is significant. My working theory on diversity and inclusion within our multicultural society in Canada focuses on awareness of diversity being of importance with exemplifying the need for respect, and a strong willingness to learn with initiation of acceptance and core change in appropriate outlets for every issue involving diversification and inclusiveness.

Truly embracing and having to champion diversity would involve initiating inclusiveness and diversification to increase gender diversity, age diversity, and racial and ethnic diversity in our communities. Gender diversity would include inclusivity of the LGBTQ2+ population as well. Other issues focus on providing and increasing accessibility to persons with disabilities and providing them with opportunities that can accommodate their specific needs and services, holistically.

Increasing awareness and increasing respect and dignity for these populations is one of our city's underlying goals. Allocating access for this population to prosper within our city would follow in which arranging engagement and support opportunities within our city through multiple platforms will attract populations to seek out our areas for new and exciting plans and developments.

Strong engagement and support will enable the communities to seek employment and other business opportunities within our cities. This will, in turn, enable innovation, prosperity, and growth through an economic approach with our diversity and inclusiveness goals prioritized effectively with positivity and collectiveness.

We want to ensure that most of the areas are prospering as a result of new innovation if proposed to our city by constituents like ourselves, and through our leadership, task forces, community members, and significant stakeholders.

WHAT ARE YOUR TOP THREE ISSUES?

The following issues are outlined with a plan that will be in process to overcome the challenges we are facing:

Increasing economical growth, affected during COVID-19, to re-establish profitable measures for small and big business sectors.

Ensuring safe accommodation for return and continuity of school to minimize interruptions due to COVID-19 with new provincial policies in effect.

Increasing housing and affordability in our areas, fostering new and existing homebuyers.

IF ELECTED, WHAT DO YOU PLAN TO ACCOMPLISH IN YOUR FIRST 100 DAYS?

Upholding Vaughan's Smart City leadership accord .

Ensure smooth completion of existing projects and enhancing city building approaches for future projects.

Ensure amendments proposed to city support community's needs, prospects, infrastructure, and environments (i.e. Support not in favour of approving Bill 66 amendments due to legislative issues).

Expand support for school-aged children, small and big business sectors, and various employees and workers who faced multiple challenges as a result of pandemic since 2020.

Increase various projects catered toward equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives.

BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU'VE EVER BEEN GIVEN AND BY WHOM?

My best piece of advice is from my spirituality and its guidance. I remember to always be myself and stand true to who I am authentically with my values and principles in mind, which in turn guides every action I put forward.
