As a result of the changes, residents may be voting in a new wards in the municipal election on Oct. 24. Ward 1 now includes both Vandorf and Gormley.

Ward 2 now extends south from Davis Drive to Bethesda Sideroad with the exception of Sleepy Hollow. It now encompasses Ballantrae, Musselman’s Lake and Bloomington.

Some significant changes have been made in Stouffville, most notably the inclusion of Ward 3 within the community’s boundaries.

Ward 3 had previously been in the Gormley area. It is now east of the Tenth Line and south of Bloomington Sideroad.

Ward 4 is now bounded by Highway 48, the Markham-Stouffville border, Ninth Line and Bethesda Sideroad.

Ward 5 is now bounded by Ninth Line, Main Street, Tenth Line and Bethesda Sideroad.

Ward 6 is now bounded by Ninth Line, the Markham Stouffville border, Tenth Line and Main Street.
