WHAT’S GOING ON HERE?: Pole line relocation along 19th Avenue in Markham

In order to accommodate a new development near 19th Ave in Markham, Alectra Utilities crews will be relocating equipment to support this work.

JUST THE FACTS

When: Now until May 1, 2023.

Where: Along 19th Ave in Markham, Woodbine Ave, around one kilometre west of Warden Ave.

What:

• The construction involves installation of 31 new poles and removal of 18 existing poles.

• The project requires a significant excavation to install the new wood poles, which are roughly 10 to 23 metres above ground.

• The majority of construction will occur during the weekday typically between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

• The entrance to some driveways fronting 19th Ave might be impacted.

• Scheduled power interruptions may be required to safely complete the work and every attempt will be made to notify residents in advance.
